Brian’s training method is always flexible and dependent on the group, the targets and the situation but he always follows the same simple three principles:

Input

Clear, motivating and relevant input on the chosen topic. Using modern tools and models, participants will learn about ideas that they can put into practice. Brian uses his typical British humour, personal anecdotes and stories to create the intended A-ha effect with the group. In soft skills seminars he actively shows the participants how he deals with certain situations.

Practice and/or self-reflection

The participant then has the opportunity to use the input in practical exercises that are relevant to the seminar topic. As an example, this could be a role-play, a presentation or a group reflection. The exercises are easy to understand but challenging.

Feedback

Brian’s feedback is future-oriented, respectful and positive. It focusses on what the participant can do well and on what areas they could improve on. He uses the group dynamic to add to this and often uses video recordings to allow the participants to see themselves in action. The feedback from one exercise is then carried forward to the next exercise.
